Perez and Broner are about to make their way to the ring. Perez is in the ring. Here comes Broner, who's wearing a mic. He's rapping on his way to the ring.
The undercard fight is in the junior lightweight division. Perez is 23-0-2 while Broner is 22-0.
Here we go.
Round 1:
They square up in the center. Broner's trunks are tastle-crazy. Broner is looking to counter, but is firing the jab. They're feeling each other out. Broner lands a fast jab and Perez backs off. Perez lands a nice right hook. Perez gets on the inside and lands a hook but gets tied up. Perez counters with a nice jab. They trade jabs. Broner lands a slick right hook towards the end of the round.
Parker: 10-9 Broner
Round 2:
Broner sneaks in a jab to the body. Perez jumps forward to throw a combo. Broner counters well. Perez if fighting much lower than Broner. Broner lands a great combo upstairs and Perez shakes his head to say it didn't hurt. They're really letting their hands go. Perez lands a right hook. The ref tells Broner not to push with his elbow. Broner throws two hooks but they're blocked. Perez is working hard in there, but the punches are mostly getting blocked. Perez is in the corner and gets clocked with great combo punching from Broner.
Parker: 10-9 Broner
Round 3:
Broner is looking good early in the round. There is a serious mismatch in speed here. Broner is almost landing at will here. Perez lands a jab to the body. Broner lands a left uppercut while Perez is coming in. Broner lands a double left hand. Now a tripple left. He's showing off now. He lands a vicious body hook and Perez bends over. This is almost a 10-8 round. Perez comes alive at the end.
Parker: 10-9 Broner
Round 4:
Broner lands a straight right hand. They get tied up and Broner does a faux dance and struts accross the ring. Perez lands a nice right hook. His best punch of the night. Perez counters with a nice left hook. Broner isn't throwing as much in this round. Broner lands a straight right hand and Perez goes down. He can't make it up in time. It's over.
